Please note: Session 2 of Kindergarten Coding Kids is currently full. However, there are still openings in sessions 3 and 4, which run late winter and spring. If your kindergartner is interested, contact Mrs. Johnson johnsonk@sunsetridge29.org.
BOXTOPS FOR EDUCATION DRIVE continues at Middlefork School thanks to your contributions and the coordinated efforts of parent volunteers Trish Andrew and Steve Tomlinson. So please don’t stop clipping and sending Boxtops in! They adorn hundreds of products, a list of which can be viewed at https://www.boxtops4education.com/earn/participating-products.
DROP-OFF & PICK-UP PROCEDURE NOTES: Thank you to everyone for adhering to the following procedures:
***There is a wheelchair accessible section of the sidewalk directly in front of the Middlefork main doors (yellow stripe). Please do not block this area when there is a vehicle parked in the handicapped space.
***Drivers arriving ahead of the designated afternoon pick-up time cause back-ups, often all the way to Willow Road. Please note that 1st/2nd graders do not exit the building before 3:00 p.m., and 3rd graders are not dismissed until 3:10 p.m.
***Partially entering the 2nd grade car line while still angling out into the center lane prevents the lead car in the 1st grade line from exiting. If there's not enough space to fully enter the car line and traffic is backed up behind you, please park and/or go around again and reenter the drive.
***Only 3rd graders are permitted to park their bikes in the bike rack and that happens in the Spring, after students complete a Bike Safety course.
***If you walk here with a dog, please do not bring him or her on the school sidewalk. If it’s
during dismissal, your child can walk to meet you on the public sidewalk.
CELL PHONES IN THE DRIVEWAY: Drivers should cease using their cell phones during pick-up or drop-off time, when students are present on the sidewalk. We understand that some people arrive early, but once the students appear, the potential for distraction makes cell phone usage unsafe. Thank you for putting down your phones while there are children on the sidewalk!
